Offset Preview
In an effort to disrupt the traditional gallery experience and transform the way people perceive stock photography, Melee Media concepted and produced the launch of Offset, a new brand created by Shutterstock. Offset makes available a beautifully selected collection of extraordinary images. Maintaining the integrity of the curatorial experience of the Offset user, Melee Media produced a photo exhibit that was curated by the guests, in real time. By interacting with a custom designed iPad app, users selected images that immediately displayed within the frame in front of them, through designated projectors. Glamour
To help Glamour Magazine visually define a new generation of readers, Melee Media ideated and created an interactive digital infrastructure for their major campaign, Generation Glamour. Cultural influencers that tagged their Instagram photos with the hashtag, #generationglamour, had their photos reviewed by the magazine which curated a selection published on generationglamour.com. A launch party in Brooklyn with live image posting, curating and large scale projecting helped kick start the campaign.

An online publication with heavy daily content, Tablet Magazine found that 30% of their readership engaged via smart phones. Melee Media was tapped by Tablet to handle the creative direction, design and development of an iOS and Android friendly mobile site that has purposeful aesthetic and intuitive navigation.

Melee Media handled production of a full house event in New York’s Lower East Side. Major production elements included live performances by Odd Future’s MellowHype, a Sailor Jerry’s liquor sponsorship, projection mapping and a custom half pipe where some of New York’s most legendary skaters flaunted their skills. The event was supported by an aggressive guerrilla marketing campaign involving wild postings and projection media.

Melee Media and Shutterstock teamed up to make a giant splash at SXSW by producing Austin Translation, a live photo documentary of SXSW projected in the heart of the festival. Thousands of photos were taken by local Shutterstock contributors and nearly a thousand tweets were received. Melee curated the photos and projected a feed of the very best content onto a 7 story building for 5 consecutive evenings. The projection was viewed by over 20,000 SXSW attendees.

Steve Madden - Northside Lounge
Melee Media produced the Steve Madden Northside Lounge, a four day Brooklyn event where Northside Festival attendees can mingle, drink, custom screen print, win tickets and leave with Super Soakers. The lounge was promoted with aggressive mobile outreach and wild postings.

Steve Madden - CMJ
Melee Media developed a platform through which Steve Madden can give his personal CMJ concert recommendations based on exactly where the recipient is standing. Over 100 wild posters were placed throughout NYC and a mobile QR code scan would give a list of the top 10 concerts occurring that night within a 5 block walking radius from where the recipient is standing.

Melee Media was engaged by Panasonic to design and build a mobile installation which provided a strategized brand experience to consumers in various NYC locations for 6 consecutive days.

Melee Media was tapped by LG to produce pop up events around the country that educated the public on energy efficiency, and healthier, greener living. At the center of the events were raw food demonstrations led by renown chefs. The event kicked off in NYC and traveled to Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
